Add a YouTube, Vimeo or uploaded video to a section

Add a video

1. Click the image or video in the section to open its Media field.
2. Click the button on the thumbnail and pick a video from your assets, or paste a YouTube, Vimeo or video file link in URL.
3. Pick a Poster, the image shown before the video plays.
4. Set controls to none, mini or full, and turn autoplay and loop on or off.

Put a video behind a section

1. Right-click the section and click edit style.
2. Open Section and pick a bg video.
3. Set a bg image too. It shows on phones and while the video loads.

Background videos play muted and loop.

Limits

• Uploads can be up to 25 MB. Use YouTube or Vimeo for longer videos.
• Autoplay videos play muted and start after the page loads.
• Large uploaded videos may get a smaller copy for faster loading.
• Background videos don't play on screens under 768 px wide, with data saver on, or for visitors who turn on reduced motion. The bg image shows instead.

Common questions

What does "With Controls = None and Autoplay off, this video has no way to play." mean?

Visitors couldn't start the video. Turn autoplay on, or set controls to mini or full.

Why doesn't my background video play on my phone?

Background videos don't play on screens under 768 px wide, so visitors there see the bg image.

Can I add a video inside text?

Yes. In a description field, type / and pick YouTube.
