Show proactive chat messages and greet visitors on each page
Turn on a playbook
- In chatbot, open Appearance and set Chat mode to Dialog.
- Open Playbooks & greetings. Switch on a playbook, or click Add playbook.
- Write the Teaser message, and add up to 3 replies under Suggestions (up to 3).
- Under Fires when (all that are set), set the moment: URL pattern (* wildcard), Seconds on page, Scroll depth %, Min visits, Exit intent or Paid click only.
- Click Save playbook.
For example, a URL pattern of *pricing* with 20 seconds on page shows the teaser on your pricing page after 20 seconds.
Greet visitors on each page
- On Playbooks & greetings, find Page greetings and turn on its switch.
- Check each page's Greeting and Starter questions. Remove a page to keep the default greeting there.
- Click Rewrite copy with AI to refresh all the copy at once.
Pixelesq writes page greetings when you publish pages.
Limits
- Playbooks run only in Dialog mode.
- Active playbooks: 1 on the limited plan, 3 on Launch, 10 on Grow, 20 on Scale and 100 on Enterprise.
- Visitors see at most 2 teasers per visit.
- You can switch custom playbooks off. You can't delete them.
- Page greetings don't show in the dashboard preview.
Common questions
Why don't my teasers show?
Check that Chat mode is Dialog and the playbook is switched on. A teaser waits until all its conditions are met.
Why can't I switch on another playbook?
You've reached your plan's limit. Switch another playbook off first, or upgrade.
Why is the Page greetings list empty?
Greetings are written when pages are published. Publish your pages, or click Rewrite copy with AI.
