Check your site speed with Core Web Vitals from real visitors
Check your speed
- In the sidebar, under manage, click analytics, then Speed.
- Read Core Web Vitals Score Distribution. It shows the share of visits rated Good, Needs Improvement or Poor for each measure.
- Check Core Web Vitals (Real User Data) for each page's numbers.
What each measure means
- LCP (Largest Contentful Paint): how long the main content takes to show. Good is 2.5 seconds or less.
- INP (Interaction to Next Paint): how fast the page reacts to a click or tap. Good is 200 milliseconds or less.
- CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift): how much the page jumps around while it loads. Good is 0.1 or less.
- FCP (First Contentful Paint): when the first text or image shows. Good is 1.8 seconds or less.
- TTFB (Time to First Byte): how fast the server starts to answer. Good is 0.8 seconds or less.
Each number is the 75th percentile, so 3 in 4 visits were this fast or faster.
Limits
- Speed covers real visits from the last 7 days. It doesn't run a lab test.
- A number shows once a page has at least 3 measurements of it.
- The table lists up to 10 pages, in alphabetical order of their address.
- Speed works without Search Console.
Common questions
Why is Speed empty?
Speed fills in after real visitors browse your published pages. Each page needs a few visits in the last 7 days.
Why don't my numbers match PageSpeed Insights?
Its score comes from a single test run. Speed shows what your real visitors experienced.
How can I make a page faster?
Use images no bigger than they show on screen, and remove custom code and tracking tags you no longer use.
