Connect Slack to get site updates and form submissions in a channel

Connect Slack

  1. In the sidebar, click settings, then Integrations.
  2. Click the Slack card, then Install.
  3. Allow access in Slack.
  4. Back in Pixelesq, the card shows installed, and Pixel sends you a welcome message in Slack.

Get site updates in a channel

  1. In the Slack channel you want, send /pixel notifications.
  2. Pixel replies "This channel will now receive website updates."
  3. From then on, Pixel posts there when a page is published, unpublished or deleted, and when an entry is added or deleted.

To move updates to another channel, send the command there. To stop them, send /pixel notifications off.

Send form submissions to Slack

  1. In the sidebar, click forms and open your form.
  2. Turn on Slack Notifications.
  3. Under Channel, pick a channel from Public Channels or Private Channels.
  4. For a private channel, send /invite @Pixel in that channel first.

The form saves on its own. Each submission then posts with the form's name, the answers and a link to your dashboard.

Disconnect or reconnect Slack

  1. In settings, under Integrations, click the Slack card.
  2. Click the trash icon, Remove Slack, and confirm Delete.
  3. To connect again later, click Install.

If Pixelesq can't remove the app for you, a message asks you to remove the Pixel app in your Slack workspace settings.

Common questions

What does "Failed to integrate slack" mean?

The workspace may already be linked to another project. Remove it there first, then install again.

Why don't I see Slack Notifications in my form?

Slack isn't connected to this project. Ask an owner to install it.

Why is my private channel missing from the list?

Send /invite @Pixel in the channel. If it still doesn't show, remove Slack and install it again.
