Create your first website with Pixelesq

Choose how to start

1. On the starting point screen, pick a card: Start from scratch. to describe your business, or Have a website. to start from your current site.
2. For Start from scratch., describe what the site is for, your goals and the style you want, in 10 to 240 characters.
3. For Have a website., type your site's address, starting with https://.
4. Click next and wait while Pixelesq reads your description or your site.

Finish the five setup steps

1. Step 1: fill in first name, last name and your role, add a picture if you like, then click next.
2. Step 2: check project name and your free web address in custom domain (unique), which ends in .sites.app.pixelesq.ai. Add an icon under project and favicon; it also becomes your site's favicon. Then add a Tagline, your Industry and a Site description of up to 155 characters, and click next.
3. Step 3: pick a Primary Goal and any Visitor Intentions that fit, then click next.
4. Step 4: choose your primary color, header font and body font, then click next.
5. Step 5: click Start Building.

Publish your homepage

1. Your homepage opens in the editor while Pixel fills in each section. Wait until the placeholders are replaced.
2. Change any text or image you like, then publish the page. Visitors see it only after you publish.
3. Your header and footer are already live, and a Contact page waits as a draft in pages.

Limits

• With Have a website., Pixelesq builds a new homepage from your current site. It doesn't copy your other pages.
• The free web address from step 2 can't be changed later. You can connect your own domain at any time.
• Every new site gets a 14-day trial with Scale features, and no card is needed.

Common questions

Where is my website after setup?

Your homepage stays a draft in the editor until you publish it. To find your live address, open the avatar menu, click Account, then Projects, and look in the Site column.

Can I change my colors and fonts later?

Yes. Step 4 saves them to your theme, and you can edit the theme any time.

What if setup gets stuck?

Reload the page. If it still doesn't move, click Facing issue onboarding?, then Skip to dashboard.

Why do I see "Please enter a valid URL starting with https://"?

Type the full address of your current site, including https://, for example https://example.com.
