Turn on Growth and run keyword research for your site

Turn on Growth

1. In the sidebar, under manage, click growth.
2. On Turn on Growth, click turn on growth.
3. The Growth Plan tab opens. Click How it works for a short tour.

Run research

1. On Growth Plan, under Confirm your inputs, start research, tap the suggested Competitors and Search queries you want.
2. To add your own, type in Add your own query and click Add.
3. Click Start research. It runs in the background for a few minutes.

What research finds

• A keyword library for your site.
• Keywords your competitors rank for that you don't.
• How strong your site is in search.

Limits

• Only Owners can turn Growth on. Editors can run research.
• Each plan allows a number of competitors and queries: 2 and 10 on Launch, 3 and 15 on Grow, and 5 and 40 on Scale.
• Research uses United States English data, and there's no country or language choice.

Common questions

Why does it say "Ask a project owner to turn it on"?

Only Owners can turn on Growth. Ask the Owner of your project.

What does "Research hit a snag" mean?

Set Website URL in context under Site Profile, then click Run research again.

Why does it say I've reached the limit of my plan?

You've added more competitors or queries than your plan allows. Remove some, or upgrade.
