Approve or discard changes before Pixel publishes or deletes
What needs your approval
- Publishing or unpublishing a page, an entry, a partial such as your header, or your theme.
- Deleting a page, entry, partial or redirect.
- Restoring an earlier version of a page, or changing who can see a page.
- Adding a custom tag to every page. The card shows the code.
- Removing fields from a form, or collection fields that already hold data.
- Switching the chatbot on or off, or pausing it.
Other changes apply right away. Page and entry edits go to your draft, and settings such as redirects and tracking IDs are saved at once.
Approve or discard a change
- Read the card. It names the change, such as "Publishing Pricing", and says what approving does.
- Click Approve to apply it, or Discard to drop it.
- Check the card's new label: Applied, Discarded, Expired, Changed since review or Failed.
When Pixel's last reply staged one change, you can type instead. "yes", "approve" or "go ahead" applies it, and "no" or "cancel" drops it.
Limits
- A card expires after 30 minutes. Ask Pixel again for a new one.
- Pixel can't approve its own cards. Only your click or reply applies a change.
- A typed reply decides a single change from Pixel's last reply. When several cards are waiting, click the buttons on each card.
- Discarding a card keeps the rest of Pixel's work, such as the draft edits it made before.
Common questions
What does "Changed since review" mean?
The item changed after the card appeared, so nothing was applied. Ask Pixel to stage the change again.
What does "Expired" mean?
The card waited more than 30 minutes, and nothing changed. Ask Pixel again.
What does "Failed" mean?
Pixel tried to apply the change and the site refused it. Pixel's next reply says why.
Can I undo a change after I approve it?
For pages, yes. Ask Pixel to undo it, or restore an earlier version yourself. See Restore an earlier version of a page or entry.
