Fix Pixel errors, lost connections and replies that stop

Try these first

1. Wait for the current reply to finish, or click Stop.
2. Reload the page. A reply that is still running picks up again.
3. Send your message again.
4. Click Start New Task and ask again in one short message.

What each message means

"Pixel is still working on the previous message. Wait for it to finish, then send again."

Pixel is still on your last request. Wait for the reply to finish, or click Stop, then send again.

"The connection to Pixel was lost."

Reload the page. If Pixel is still working, the reply picks up where it left off.

"Pixel was restarted before it could finish; send the message again."

Check the steps above first, since some may be done. Then send the message again.

"Part of this reply could not be relayed; reload to see it in full."

Reload the page to see the whole reply.

"I ran out of steps before finishing."

Pixel takes up to 20 steps for each message. Reply "continue" and it picks up from there.

"This task has reached its message limit. Start a new task to continue."

Click Start New Task and describe what's left.

"Pixel is unavailable" with HTTP and a number

With 403, your role usually can't use Pixel. Ask an Owner to make you an Editor. With any other number, reload and try again in a minute.

Pixel says the project is read-only until its billing is resolved

Pixel can read your site but can't change it until billing is fixed. An Owner can fix it in settings, then Billing.

Limits

• Pixel never reports a failed change as done. When a step fails, its reply says so.
• Reloading doesn't stop Pixel. Click Stop to end a reply early.
• Old tasks can't be reopened once you start a new one.

Pixel changed the wrong thing. How do I undo it?

Can Viewers use Pixel?

No. Ask an Owner to make you an Editor.
