Link entries with Reference and Related fields
Add the field
- In the collection's Field Schema Manager, add a Reference field and pick its collection under Reference to. Or add a Related field.
- Tick Field is a list? to allow more than one, then click Publish Schema & Exit.
Pick entries
- Open an entry.
- For a Reference field, pick from the dropdown. For a Related field, use Search entries....
- Save and publish the entry.
In a Related field, click the Pixel icon to see AI Suggestions of similar entries. Click the plus to keep one.
Show them on entry pages
In the collection's template, connect fields under the reference, such as the author's name and photo. For related posts, point a cards list at the Related field. Then publish the template. See Design the template for entry pages.
Limits
- Only published entries can be picked or shown. Others show "Not published or deleted" in the editor.
- The Reference dropdown lists up to 200 entries, most recently updated first.
- A Related list holds up to 5 entries, and Pixel suggests up to 5.
- Two collections can't reference each other.
- Pixel can't fill Reference or Related fields.
Common questions
What does "No entries found" mean?
No published entry matches. Publish the entry you want to link.
What does "No similar entries found" mean?
Pixel needs more to go on. Add more content to this entry, or publish more entries.
