Find your way around the Pixelesq page editor
Open the editor
- In pages, double-click a page, or right-click it and choose edit page.
The top bar
- Page settings and the version menu.
- Avatars of teammates editing with you.
- Desktop Screen, Tablet Screen and Mobile Screen previews.
- SEO & Social Preview and link health.
- Undo, Redo, Save and publish.
The panel
- The plus button adds a new section.
- Five icon tabs: outline (rows icon), content (text cursor), style (layout icon), data connection (database icon, only for sections connected to a collection) and JSON (code icon).
- The ninja icon switches between Basic mode and Advanced mode. Advanced mode shows more controls and is on by default.
- ask pixel sits under the tabs.
Limits
- The panel tabs show icons only. Right-click a section and choose edit content or edit style to jump to those tabs.
- On screens narrower than 1,024 pixels, open the panel with Open editor panel.
- Viewers see "Restricted Access" instead of the editor.
Common questions
Why is the panel locked?
Pixel is writing. The panel shows "Pixel is writing ..., hang tight" and unlocks when it finishes.
Do my changes save on their own?
Yes, edits save as you work, and Save saves straight away. Visitors see changes only after you publish.
How do I preview the page on a phone?
Click Mobile Screen in the top bar.
