Add custom code, scripts and meta tags to every page of your site
Add a tag
- In the sidebar, click settings, then Custom Code.
- Click create.
- In Add Tag, give it a Label you'll recognize.
- Pick a Placement: Head or Body.
- Pick a Type: Meta, Link, Script, Style or Custom.
- Fill in Content, and add attributes with Add Attribute, such as src for a script file.
- Click Save.
For a script or a style, paste only the code that goes between its opening and closing tags. For Custom, type the tag in Name, such as noscript.
Common examples
- A site verification tag: Head, Meta, with the name and content attributes the service gives you.
- A chat or booking widget: Body, Script, with the src attribute from the provider.
- Extra CSS: Head, Style, with your CSS in Content.
Edit, reorder or remove a tag
- Filter the list with All, Head or Body.
- Open the tag's menu and pick Edit, Move Up, Move Down, Duplicate or Delete.
Tags load in list order, from the top down.
Limits
- Tags go on every published page. You can't add code to a single page.
- Pixelesq adds your code exactly as written and doesn't check it. Add code only from sources you trust.
- Pixelesq sets some meta tags itself, such as description, robots and the share tags, and skips your own versions of them.
- Changes save at once, but live pages can take up to an hour to show them.
- Deleting a tag can't be undone.
