How lead scores work and what makes a lead hot
How the score adds up
- Fit, up to 55 points: a business email (12), a senior decision maker (up to 15 for the role), a match with one of your personas (8), a shared use case (6), the timeline (up to 10) and a shared budget (4).
- Intent, up to 45 points: a booked meeting (15), capture on a pricing page (8), repeat visits (up to 8), a longer conversation (up to 8) and a high-intent playbook (6).
65 and up is Hot, 35 to 64 Warm and under 35 Cold.
See why a lead scored what it did
- In chatbot, open Inbox, then Leads.
- Click a lead and read Why this score. Each reason shows its points.
- Filter the list by Hot, Warm or Cold.
Help leads score fairly
Add personas in context, under Audience & Strategy, so leads that match them earn persona points.
Limits
- The weights are fixed. You can't change them.
- Personal email addresses, such as Gmail, earn no business email points.
- A returning lead is scored again each time, so its score can go down.
