See your Google clicks, impressions, rankings and top search terms
See your search numbers
- In the sidebar, under manage, click analytics, then Search Performance.
- Pick 7d, 28d or 90d. 28d is the default.
- Read the cards: search clicks, search appearances, click rate and avg. ranking. Each shows the change from the period before.
- Check Clicks & Impressions Over Time for each day.
What the numbers mean
- search clicks: people who found you on Google and visited your site.
- search appearances: times your pages showed up in Google results.
- click rate: the share of appearances that became clicks.
- avg. ranking: your average position in the results, where 1 is the top. Lower is better.
Find your best searches and pages
- Top Search Terms shows what people typed into Google before they saw or clicked your site.
- Top Pages shows which of your pages they landed on.
- By Device and By Country show who searched.
Limits
- Google's data runs about 3 days behind, so the last few days are missing.
- The numbers come from Google only.
- Lists show up to 50 search terms and 50 pages.
- Search data updates every 6 hours.
- Anyone on the project can view this tab. Only owners can connect Search Console.
Common questions
Why do I see "Connect Google Search Console"?
Search Console isn't connected to this project. An owner can click Connect.
What does "Unverified Google Search Console access" mean?
The Google account you connected can't read this property's data. Click Reconnect with different account, or ask the property's owner to add you as a verified user.
Why are my numbers so low?
New sites take time to show up in Google. Check which pages are indexed. See Check whether Google has indexed your pages.
