Save, undo and redo your edits in the page editor

Undo or redo

  1. Click Undo in the top bar, or click outside any text box and press Cmd+Z, or Ctrl+Z on Windows.
  2. Click Redo, or press Cmd+Shift+Z, or Ctrl+Y on Windows.

The buttons show only when there's something to undo or redo. Inside a text box, Cmd+Z undoes typing in that box.

Save your draft

  1. Edit as usual. Your changes send on their own, about every second.
  2. When Save shows, click it or press Cmd+S, or Ctrl+S on Windows, to save now.
  3. If you leave with changes that haven't sent, Unsaved Changes asks you to Leave or Cancel.

Saving keeps your draft. Visitors see your changes only after you publish.

Limits

  • Undo keeps up to 50 steps.
  • Undo history clears when you leave the editor, or when a teammate adds, removes or moves sections.
  • Undo changes your draft only. To roll back the live page, restore an earlier version. See Restore an earlier version of a page or entry.
  • The header and footer editor has Undo, Redo and Save buttons, but Cmd+Z and Cmd+S don't work there.
  • Closing the template editor doesn't warn about changes that haven't saved, so let saving finish first.
