Create a new project, switch between projects or delete one

Switch between projects

1. Click the project name at the top of the sidebar.
2. Search or pick a project under Projects. You land on the same screen in that project.

To see all your projects with their site address and plan, click your photo at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account, then Projects.

Create another project

1. In the project menu, click Create Project.
2. Follow the setup steps, the same as for your first site. See Create your first site.

Each project has its own plan and bill. See Compare plans and limits.

Delete a project

1. Cancel its subscription in Billing. See Cancel your subscription.
2. Remove its custom domain in Domains, so you can use the domain elsewhere. See Connect a custom domain.
3. Click settings, then General, and scroll to Delete Project.
4. Pick a Reason for deletion and click delete.
5. In "Are you absolutely sure?", click Delete.

Limits

• Deleting a project can't be undone. You lose access to it and all its data.
• Only Owners can delete a project, even when it's read-only.
• The project menu lists the projects you're a member of.

Common questions

Why can't I find a project?

You're not a member of it. Ask one of its Owners to invite you. See Invite a teammate.

Can I hand a project to someone else?

Yes. An Owner opens settings, then Team, and clicks Make Owner in a teammate's menu. See What Owners, Editors and Viewers can do.
